Westwood Neighborhood Plan

Westwood is one of Denver's most culturally rich neighborhoods, and one of its most underserved. This plan was about more than land use and policy, it was about making sure a community that had historically been left out of planning decisions finally had a vision that felt like theirs. I led the project from start to finish, managing the team, driving community engagement, shaping the plan itself, and handling much of the graphics and document design. The challenge was earning trust in a community with good reason to be skeptical of city processes, and then translating that trust into a plan that actually reflected what residents wanted. Getting the visuals and language right wasn't a finishing touch, it was central to whether people could see themselves in the plan at all.
